Real Tools for Real Work: Mike’s Story
A Rancher’s Everyday Carry for Hay Bales and Hardworking Hands
Mike runs a ranch where cutting baling twine is an everyday task—and utility knives are always in high demand.
“We feed a lot of large square bales of hay, and utility knives for cutting strings are constantly needed—and often misplaced.”
He first spotted the GhostTi while scrolling Facebook and decided to try something new. Between the trucks, pockets, and work gloves, they’re always looking for something that’s reliable and easy to carry.
What really stood out to him? The design—and the usability for his crew.
“My wife is left-handed, so she might find it more suitable than the Milwaukee or other brands we have in the trucks.”
The knives aren’t just for Mike—they’re also for a couple of senior hands who’ve been working with him for years. Still out there. Still feeding. Still doing the work to keep the place running.
It’s stories like Mike’s that remind us why design matters—especially when tools are used daily, across generations.
Thanks for the note, Mike.
